Most people know that prayer is conversation with God -you speak, He speaks. Why we should pray might be a little bit harder. While there are several answers to this question, I think they’re are two very important ones.
#1 God commands us to Luke 18:1 says, “And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.” It’s not something that we should do just when we feel like it or when it’s convenient for our schedule. It’s something God commands us to do consistently!
#2 It bring us closer to Him I think a great example is your best friend. The more you hang out with your friend, the more you get to know her/him. The same goes for God. The more time you spend talking with Him and hearing what He has to say to you through His word, the better you’ll get to know Him. James 4:8 starts off with, “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”
What are your thoughts? How’s your prayer life? What has God been teaching you recently through prayer?
